The Key West Sailing Adventures provides a “boat and breakfast” lodging experience in sailboats docked in the midst of the Key West Historic Seaport of Key West, Fla. The dock is located at the west end of William Street, three blocks from restaurants, bars and shops, including bustling Duval Street.
Two yachts offered by the Key West Sailing Adventures are docked in a 360-degree, protected harbor, offering a quiet, motionless berth. Vouchers for complimentary breakfasts at a restaurant across the street are provided for the first morning of each stay. Stays of three days or more include a half-day sail on the turquoise waters to the reef, with lunch and snorkeling gear provided. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee. The yachts feature sunset views over the water from private cockpits. Portholes and hatches allow tropical breezes to flow through the living spaces. Island-hopping to uninhabited islands, fishing in the Gulf Stream, overnight stays anchored in a lagoon and sunset sails are available for a fee. Laundry facilities are located 20 yards from the boat docks.
The Key West Sailing Adventures’ yachts feature two staterooms and two bathrooms separated by the center cockpit. Both yachts offer living spaces, galley kitchens and six-feet, four-inches of head room. Decks feature sun- drenched or shaded lounging spaces. The Obsession, a 37-foot O’Day sailboat, offers air-conditioning, built-in furnishings and varnished teak wood in the main salon. The Morgan 44 – Wildthing sailboat features a deck that is unique among center cockpit yachts, with high bulwarks offering a sense of security. The cockpit is deep with high coamings. The coaming caps are wide, creating a second seating level in the cockpit. The aft deck is large enough to accommodate deck chairs. The main cabin features the warm glow of hand-finished wood, polished brass light fixtures and soft fabrics.
