Disney’s All Star Movies Resort is a charming vacation sport sure to delight families with younger children – or anyone who has a love of Disney movies! Each part of the resort is devoted to a particular movie; for example, the 101 Dalmatians wing is white with black spots, filled with pictures of Dalmatian puppies, and “guarded” by a towering statue of daddy dog Pongo. Other movies the resort pays tribute to include The Mighty Ducks, Toy Story, Fantasia _and _Herbie the Love Bug, complete with a huge tire emblazoned with “The Winner’s Circle” and life-size replica of Herbie himself. The green, white, and black lobby is spangled with stars, covered in stripes, and wrapped with a mural depicting palm trees and movie theaters all aglow.

You’ll feel like a star in the comfortable guest accommodations – there’s a lit “star” above every bed. The rooms are decorated with every color of the rainbow and – of course – framed Disney movie posters. Don’t feel like braving the paparazzi? Take advantage of the resort’s in-room pizza delivery. One unique highlight of the All Star Movies Resort has to be the Mighty Ducks-themed Duck Pond Pool. A huge sculpture of a hockey mask – duck shaped, natch – and hockey goals complete the sports motif.

"I have stayed at this resort and liked it very much. It was reasonable and clean. I loved that the shuttle took you all over the Disney grounds. I hardly used the rental car. I recommend this resort very much"

Budget Smart Rooms

Reviewed by querns on January 09, 2007

querns' rating:

"You won’t be spending a lot of time in your hotel room anyway, so these are the best priced rooms for sleeping. If you plan on spending a lot of time relaxing, you might want to consider another resort, since this one will more than likely be wrapped up with excited children! These rooms are always clean and a wonderful way to take advantage of staying on property with a tight budget!"

No Soundproofing

Reviewed by Amy on January 03, 2007

Amy's rating:

"It is great to stay on property when visiting Disney. Not paying for parking and being able to travel back and forth to your room easily is a big plus. These rooms are your typical small hotel rooms. They were clean enough and in fine repair, but they really needed soundproofing between rooms. It is almost like the mouse doesn’t want your kids to sleep so they can keep spending money in the parks. The complex is also huge. Check in was a mess. I would heavily weigh your desire to stay on property and your desire to have a quiet escape after a long day there. It is a place to stay but not really a place to relax. "

Aweful!!!

"The rooms are cramped. The cafeterias have awful slow service. Reminds me of a Holiday inn. You get what you pay for."

Nice, clean, small rooms

"I love staying here when we are either just coming in to Disney or our last night, when we need a place to sleep. It is a very clean (as are all of Disney’s resorts) but the rooms are small. It is still way better to stay on property in a small room then to stay off property."

Not what I expected, but not a bad place at all.

Reviewed by Jenni on October 29, 2006

Jenni's rating:

"When I got here, to this resort, I was tired, cranky and in need of a shower. So my first impression was less than thrilled. But I wasn’t in my room more than for sleeping, showering and packing anyway, so it wasn’t so bad. Good for kids. Good for college students in need of an inexpensive place to stay. Dont know what to say for adults. I kind of expected a bigger bathroom and a single bed, but it was a tiny bathroom, sink in the room and two twin beds (I was traveling alone…) and the room was kinda small. But as I said, I wasn’t in the room much. It was clean, it was friendly, it was a safe place to be. WICKED easy to get from the park and back and to the airport. So Im giving it three ”!”’s out of five. I thought it was funny that probably half the channels were disney related and they only had ABC Family and No Nick channel. All and All, it was more like one giant Motel than a resort. Good if you’re on a budget, but if I were going back to disney by myself, than I’d probably stay there for pricing reason. It’s up to you, it’s really great to be able to get from motel to parks so easily, and have the security of getting to and from the airport so easily too. So, pricing reasons or not, I’d probably stay there again. I would go for the more pricey hotels if you planned to spend time in that hotel anyway."
