Since its first theatrical debut in 1956, the Coconut Grove Playhouse has premiered several shows that earned great success in New York, including Cy Colemans Let Em Rot. Other celebrated productions have included a revival of Death of a Salesman and Fame: The Musical. Liza Minnelli, Beatrice Arthur, Jessica Tandy and Carol Channing are just a few of the theatrical stars who have performed here. A nationally recognized artistic institution, the Playhouse aims to educate as well as entertain and offers various programs and classes, including a Summer Theater Camp. Tickets average USD40-60 per person.
