Few sporting venues in the nation are well enough equipped to host both NFL football and major league baseball. In 1987, this privately financed facility, known as Joe Robbie Stadium, emerged as the home stadium for the Miami Dolphins. A few years later, H. Wayne Huizenga gained ownership and proceeded on a major renovation to accommodate the Florida Marlins baseball team. The complex continues to host all Dolphin and Marlin home games, as well as several concerts and other special events. The box office is located at Gate G in the stadium.
