St. Thomas originated as Biscayne College with an enrollment of only 35 students. Since its establishment, the Roman Catholic university has enlarged its student body (to 2100 students) and expanded its property. Apart from the main campus, there is also a center located in southwest Miami and another situated in Spain for the abroad program. St. Thomas offers a personal and values-oriented education on the undergraduate, graduate, and law school level. The campus life provides a variety of activities, including campus ministry and ROTC.
