Miamis first couple, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, along with co-proprietor Jorge Larios score another hit with Bongos, a lively combination restaurant, bar and nightclub. The traditional menu features the familiar fare found at most local Cuban restaurants. Specialty dishes include Slow-Roasted Half Chicken marinated in orange, lime and herbs and a grilled boneless strip steak. The festive, colorful atmosphere and decor is contagious. Get your dance shoes out on Fridays and Saturdays at 11p when the cafe converts into a nightclub (a cover charge applies) and the real fun begins.

If you can hear, avoid a place called Bongo's

reewins' rating:

"While the food was good, the music is simply too loud in such a confined space. My friends and I were completely unable to speak to each other while the band played and my ears were pounding when I left."
