Bargain Sightseeing with the Go Orlando Card!
"Just came back from Orlando and had a whole lot of fun with the least amount of money possible, in fact, our net savings was about 60% or $1200 for visiting a total of 16 attractions!!! Considering Orlando is the ultimate money-draining destination, with its unlimited number of expensive, overpriced attractions, a savings of 60% is nothing less than a miracle. Initially, the potential cost of our trip had sent my husband and me into shock. We were footing the bill for the two of us plus both sets of parents and as I ran the numbers, the potential cost of 3 days of fun in Orlando for the 6 of us adults was not less than a couple thousand dollars. For us self-admitted cheapos, that was a couple thousand dollars way too many. Anyone who is familiar with the Orlando attraction industry will tell you that the most infamous way of getting discounted tickets to attractions is to sell your soul to a timeshare company, but none of us were interested in wasting our vacation time enduring a high pressure sales presentation. We were looking for a pain-free alternative for saving money. Additionally, I had the arduous task of coming up with an itinerary to satisfy the needs of my father-in-law, who has traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa but who was visiting the United States for the first time. In planning our itinerary he asked to only be taken to places which truly reflected American culture. Short on time to figure out what Orlando attractions were worthy of seeing and short of money, I came across the Go Orlando website. The number of attractions offered (over 50!) and the prices were way too good to pass, and with an additional 10 percent limited time discount (a 90 dollar savings right off the bat!), we took a leap of faith and purchased 6 cards. Our faith paid off. Besides instant savings, I also had an instant itinerary. The Go Orlando guidebook did all the legwork: it sorted the attractions according to its region in Florida with an accompanying map, plus offered great descriptions of included attractions as well as various points of interest, not to mention big time savings at local restaurants and shops. The Go Orlando card was a godsend and as a bargain hunter, I was truly in heaven. Our parents had a blast at every single one of the attractions we went to. When we asked which one was their favorite, they couldn’t decide, because there were just too many. From our very first attraction on the first day, the truly American experience of visiting Kennedy Space Center, where we were fortunate enough to witness the double sonic boom plus landing of Endeavor to our last experience on the third day of watching dolphins surf behind our speedboat in St. Petersburg, there was no shortage of exhilarating moments. In fact, for my father-in-law who has seen various attractions all around the world, it was clear from his ear-to ear grin throughout our 3-day adventure, that this was perhaps the most memorable trip he had ever taken. And while my husband and I were also excited from taking part in various experiences and events and attractions that we really would never have otherwise tried without the all-inclusiveness and instant planning that the Go Orlando card offers, our joy was all the more compounded knowing just how little money we had spent!
