Wynn Collection of Fine Art

I remember the days when Vegas was an utter wasteland when it came to art. Well, that was then, and this, thankfully, is now. Move over, strip shows and high-stakes poker. Nowadays, it’s the city’s stellar art collections that offer the best entertainment, of which the Wynn Collection is a prime example. It may be small – no more than 15 works are usually on display – but each carefully selected piece is a masterpiece in its own right. Don’t miss Vermeer’s “A Young Woman seated at the Virginals,” Rembrandt’s “Self-Portrait” and Picasso’s eye-catching “Le Rêve (The Dream),” depicting his sensual mistress, Marie-Thérèse. And what’s particularly appealing is that the collection is showcased in an intimate gallery that feels more like a well-appointed living room than a museum.
