The Hotel Meurice is a Paris landmark that embodies elegance and style. The hotel faces the Jardin de Tuileries and is adjacent to the rue Saint Honore in Paris’ fashionable First Arrondissement. The hotel has long been a haven for the rich and the royal, and it was even Salvador Dali’s Paris headquarters. The Meurice is surrounded by delightful cafes and some of the city’s finest boutique shops, including Helmut Lang and Colette. Guest rooms are individually decorated and feature period furnishings, Italian and French fabrics, and elegant marble. If you want to splurge, check into the glorious Belle Etoile suite, which features an enormous terrace that offers a 360-degree view of Paris. This suite also has a foyer, sitting room, gallery, and office, and a chef and butler are available to cater to your every need. But if you really want a unique experience, book yourself into the triangular-shaped Marco Polo suite. The entire suite is decorated like a tent, with luscious fabrics in pale blue draped from the peaked ceiling to the parquet floor. The period furniture is warm and inviting, in rich shades of cream and gold The suite’s intimate setting makes it perfect for a romantic rendezvous. The hotel’s Le Meurice restaurant offers traditional French fare and overlooks the Jardin de Tuileries, so your view will be as fabulous as your dinner. The Winter Garden serves lighter fare and afternoon tea, if you need to take a break and refuel, and the Bar Fountainebleau is the spot to unwind at the end of a busy day. If you wear yourself out exploring the City of Light, spend an afternoon at the Espace Bien-être spa, the only spot in Paris to receive Caudalie “vinotherapie” treatments, which feature grape seed-based products. If you want a luxurious and centrally located home base during your visit to Paris, the Hotel Meurice is where you should be.

Hotel Meurice - Gone are the days when surrealist artist Salvador DalĂ, a frequent guest, would open his window and dangle a lobster from the end of a fishing pole into the stream of passersby on the Rue de Rivoli, but the Meurice still has a vaguely decadent and artistic tone
