"Paris has so many touristy things that you’ve seen a zillion times in pictures and movies. It’s incredible to be able to go see them in person, and the Eiffel Tower is no exception! The thing is huge, and it’s so cool to just walk around the bottom and look at it from different angles. I went in January, so not too many tourists, but I can imagine that it’s a madhouse in the summer! The views from the tower are amazing, of course, but even if you don’t go up to the top, the tower is worth a visit!"

"I went as part of my contiki tour along with all my other posts, because thats how I went to europe and had a great time. thanks to our contiki tour manager we didnt have to wait in line and had access up to the second level which had the most breathtaking sunset along with the lights that lit up at night. its just amazing how small you feel when youre standing under it."

"The Eiffel Tower is THE landmark of Paris; everyone immediately recognizes it as the symbol of France. I didn’t get the chance to go up the tower but I had already seen views of the city from above at the Arc de Triomph and Notre Dame. The most amazing part of visiting the Eiffel Tower is well, just that, its amazing to visit in person. The other thing I highly recommend is going with some friends or your significant other, buying some amazing bread, cheese, and wine; and then head over and sit on the lawn next to the Eiffel Tower at night. Its an amazing experience and the Tower lights up and sparkles every hour or so."

"i’ve been to the eiffel tower several times in the past. but it takes my breath away every single time! i strongly suggest taking a bus tour around paris at night. it allows you to see the city sights- things look entirely different at night! i took a bus tour with Contiki Holidays this summer and it’s definitely a great way to see Paris… either for the first time or if you’re revisiting old favorites!"

"Yeah the Eiffle Tower is cool. I mean, it is the symbol of the most romantic city in the world. But really when it comes down to it, the Eiffle Tower is just a big piece of metal scaffolding. What really makes the experience cool, though, is if you add your own personal twist to your visit. Some people enjoy a romantic kiss or proposal… I prefer a more athletic affair. After taking in a breath-taking view from the top, I ran down every single step of the 81 story flight. While both exhausting and exhilerating, it made my trip unique."

"It’s obviously cliched to go to the Eiffel Tower. But it really is a must see. When I went we certainly didnt get to roam around the tower. You see the surrounds as you wait in line to get the lift up to the top. And then wait in line to come back down again. Perhaps September isnt a good time to go."
