"After a long day of sightseeing along the Seine, dinner and a show in Montmartre was the perfect treat. After spending hours at the Musee d'Orsay looking at Toulouse-Lautrec or Degas paintings of the Moulin Rouge, here we were going to experience the cabaret show first hand. Now this is no gaudy exhibit, it is very classy and refined, the freeflowing champagne service attests to that. The music is oh-so-French, and the dancing is great. I don't want to spoil anything, but there's one scene that involves a showgirl, a giant tank of water, and many snakes. Pretty extreme, and pretty cool.I got to go the Moulin Rouge as part of my Contiki trip this past summer, taking me on a whirlwind two-week tour of Europe.
