In keeping with its location in the Pigalle area – well known for its sex shops and Moulin Rouge cabaret – this museum devoted to erotic art has over 2,000 sculptures, paintings and objets dart from all over the world. As well as the permanent exhibition, which includes some second century pieces, temporary exhibitions of contemporary art and private collections are organized on a regular basis. The museum is also open at night.

"An amazing collection of erotic art from around the world – statuettes, paintings, boxes, chairs!Go with an open mind, and leave the children at home. This is the way to see Pigalle – one of the more lurid and dangerous areas of Paris. Don’t get caught up in the high priced shows at the Moulin Rouge, or chance getting in trouble at any of the local pubs…instead, hop off the Metro to see this museum, and head out of Pigalle again for a drink! "
