This long-standing Midtown joint is supported by a predominantly gay clientele, but is a popular gathering point for others as well. A moderately priced pub menu is available, but most come for the good humor and laid-back atmosphere. Drinks are pricey but well-made, and flow freely especially when the karaoke machine gets fired up on Monday and Tuesdays at midnight.

"Lots of room to mingle or twirl, great entertainment (check out Mary Edith Pitts and/or the Armorettes), great food for the price, great music (not all club music), but no dance floor. Burkhart’s has been an ATL mainstay for almost 20 years. Mostly a middle-aged club, but plenty of twinks and trolls, whatever your mood. Main floor is where the shows are, with a large balcony overlooking, 2 separate bar rooms, pool tables and a big, beautiful patio to enjoy those Southern evenings and men. Have fun!"
