Important Hotel Information:

Located in Savannah, Georgia’s, acclaimed historic district, The Gastonian offers bed and breakfast ambience combined with Southern charm. Savannah offers horse drawn carriage rides, various antique stores, gourmet restaurants and scenic gardens. The hotel is 12 miles from Savannah International Airport.

Built in 1868, The Gastonian is comprised of two adjacent mansions. Guests enter the hotel through a drawing room lit by a Waterford crystal chandelier and are welcomed with wine, fresh fruit and flowers. Guests can meander down a hallway offering views of the hotel garden and carriage house. Mornings bring hot breakfasts served in the quaint parlor or the privacy of guestrooms. Guests can also relax with afternoon tea and later enjoy nightly turndown service with complimentary Savannah pralines and cordials. Southern afternoons are best enjoyed on the sundeck where two spa tubs encourage additional relaxation. Guests in Savannah for business can use the hotel photocopy machines and conference facilities.

Themed suites are appointed with high ceilings and welcoming fireplaces. Guests can lounge happily in ample jetted tubs before retiring to elaborate canopied beds ideal for restful slumber.

Jools' rating:

"The Gastonian was the first Savannah bed and breakfast I visited, and it remains one of my favorites. The Gastonian is very pretty, but relaxed enough that you don’t feel like you’re visiting your uptight aunt who won’t let you sit on the “good furniture.” The Caracalla Suite, the Gastonian’s honeymoon suite, is by far my favorite guest room, and it’s the Gastonian’s most popular room. You’ll need to plan ahead and book well in advance if you want to stay in it, but it’s worth the extra effort; you won’t be disappointed. The folks who work here are truly gracious and helpful, and they make you feel most welcome; they also know when to give you a little space to enjoy things at your own pace. The Gastonian embodies the gracious spirit of the South, and I always look forward to going back."
