Location.Standing proudly for the past 150 years in Savannah’s (Ga.) historical district, the Marshall House showcases a blend of historic details with stylish furnishings and modern conveniences. Named as a National Historic building in 2000 by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, the Marshall House has its original staircases, wood floors, fireplaces, brick walls and guestroom doors.
Hotel Features. The Marshall House’s 45 Bistro, one of Savannah’s most acclaimed restaurants, feature Veal Osso Bucco and black angus filets. Providing elegant ambience, the bistro caters to events planned at the hotel. The Marshall House offers complimentary breakfasts every morning while complimentary wine and cheese are provided Sunday through Thursday evenings. A business center is fully equipped with a computer, a printer and Internet access. Wireless Internet is available in the lobby and library of the hotel. For fitness needs, the Marshall House offers complimentary access to the Downtown Savannah Athletic Club.
Guestrooms. Individually furnished with touches of times gone by, the Marshall House guestrooms are graced with pine floors, luxurious bedspreads, ladder back chairs, and armchairs. The bathrooms, with white wood paneling and black and white checkered flooring, display fresh white linens with pedestal sinks. In room amenities include high speed Internet access. Expert Tip The House is close to favorite wedding sites, such as Forsythe Park, Savannah’s romantic gazebos and squares. Beginning Sun., Jan. 29, 2006, through Mon., Feb. 6, 2006, the City of Savannah will be resurfacing Broughton Street. The resurfacing of Broughton Street in front of the Marshall House is scheduled to be complete by Thursday, February 2, 2006, weather permitting. Because of this, parking on Broughton Street will not be available. However, the hotel will continue to offer full valet service.
