I'm taking my son Jordan to St. Louis today to tryout for a spot on the 2007 Missouri Statewars roller hockey team.  If he makes it he'll be playing against teams from every other state to see which state can field the best roller hockey team in the country.  I'll let you all know if he makes it.

While out shopping for Christmas gifts tonight I decided to go ahead and get the kids cell phones.  I have been holding out against this for quite some time because I believed (and still do) that they weren't necessary for youg kids.  But then it dawned on me that a gift doesn't have to satisfy a need.  Out of all the gifts that they'll receive this year, this one will probably mean the most to them.  I'm sure that after a month or 2 I will look back...

I've never really been a blogger before today. In fact this is my first blog post of any kind. In order to insure that gusto!'s blogging solution is as good as it can be I will try to write a blog at least once a week. Obviously this is my post for this week. Well it's Labor Day weekend again and I plan on relaxing, spending time with the family, playing some music on the banjo and maybe riding the motorcycle a bit. I'll probably take the family to
