Six Flags St Louis
Hot day, not day!
As a child this was the first real amusement park that I ever attended. I hadn’t been back for years and didn’t remember until this visit how hot this park can get.
The lines were very long and this heat made them seem even longer. We waited in line for over an hour to ride our first ride (Batman). The line wound back and forth and into an unconditioned tunnel which was very claustrophobic. A very poor design. There were many good rides to choose from but not much else to do except for a few shows.
There were many choices for snacks and drinks but unfortunately the prices were a little high ($3.50 for a bottle of water).
Though security is tight the checkpoints are well staffed and they keep the lines moving. All bags are checked by hand and everyone has to walk through metal detectors to get into the park.
With many better amusement parks to choose from, you won’t miss much if you skip this park.
