Pizzeria Delfina

nearly perfect pizza

My test for whether a place can make a good Italian style pizza is in the simplest pizza of all, the margherita. The crust must be blistery hot. The toppings should be adequate but not over the top. The most common mistake is too much cheese. the tomato, cheese, and a touch of basil should all be in balance. The crust crunchy but not overdone. Pizzeria Delfina Can rock the margherita. Fortunately that’s just where things start. Their antipasta are nearly all awesome. They usually have a few special antipasta and pizzas each day. Their wine list contains about ten great value, under the radar italians at a great price. The place is tiny and uber-buzy but the service is a thing of beauty. Servers are humming but always friendly and efficient. One of my favorites in San Francisco. I’ve lived here one month and eaten at Pizzeria Delfina 4 times already. HIGHLY Recommended.
