Business travelers and shopaholics will appreciate the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber’s proximity to the International Marketplace, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the businesses of downtown Honolulu. Since the hotel is located just half a block from famous Waikiki Beach, it’s easy to mix business with pleasure. The exterior of the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber is lovely, with vibrant flowers bedecking the bright white building. The lobby is a bit of a letdown after such a fine entrance: Low ceilings, tile floors, and workaday lighting are functional but forgettable. Guest rooms are adequate, but nothing to write home about, featuring bedspreads in saturated island hues, medium-toned wood furniture and framed art depicting island life. But this is Hawaii – you’re not here for the room, right?
