awesome setting

The setting of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous. For one, the hotel itself sort of looks like a castle. It overlooks a lake in Stone Mountain Park, about 15 miles outside of Atlanta. I decided that it was well worth the trip into the city to stay at this resort. The rooms are very nice and the lobby areas had a cozy, mountain-lodge thing going on. I got lucky with a lake-view room; try to get one if you can – it’s a great sight to wake up to. Tennis is available to play at the court where the Atlanta Olympics were held, which was a lot of fun to play at. The spa is decent, too. It’s not the best hotel spa I’ve been to, but it’s fine and in such a nice setting. Stone Mountain Park is definitely the highlight – you can hike, climb to the top of Stone Mountain, fish, play golf, whatever. It’s beautiful.
