Bio
- My headline
- Go Big Red!
- Me in a nutshell
I’m a country boy at heart when I travel. I spent three weeks in Britain and Ireland and I think I only spent two days of that in big cities. Ditto when I went to Alaska. While the tours take you to Anchorage, Denali, etc., I hopped on a plane at went to Barrow, the northern most point in North America. I enjoy getting to meet the locals when I travel. Staying in bed & breakfasts beats the heck out of a motel.
- Things I like
College football - the Nebraska Huskers, specifically - are No. 1 in my heart. I love to travel, though medical bills have limited that a bit lately. But even a short trip, like to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, are a good way to get somewhere where it is quiet and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.
Revealing Tidbits
- You're stuck in the middle seat on a plane between two celebrities. Who are they?
- Shania Twain on one side and, gosh, who cares who's on the other? But if there has to be somebody there, how about David Letterman?
- Your cruise ship sank and you're stranded on a deserted island. What three things do you need?
- 1. A laptop with satellite Internet access so I can keep track of the Huskers. 2. CD player or other musical device 3. Food and water would be nice, assuming Mary Ann isn't there baking coconut cream pies for me.
- Which National Lampoon's Vacation character are you most like? Clark, Ellen, Rusty, Audrey, Aunt Edna, Cousin Eddie, Hot Girl in Ferrari or The Guard at Wally World.
- Clark -- the ultimate planner who dreams big but things always seem to fall a little short of expectations.
- Gusto is picking you up in a private jet. Where are you going?
- To the West Coast of Ireland. I'm not a big city guy, so I like the peaceful, rural feeling. It's beautiful and the people are wonderful.
