No, the Starship Enterprise has not landed at Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears. But the gleaming new steel and glass stadium sitting inside the old Greco-Roman-inspired stadium might lead you to that conclusion. You can decide for yourself whether the old and new styles complement or clash with each other. Either way, you’ll enjoy watching a game at the “new” stadium, either from the regular seats or from the new skyboxes. And, there are twice as many restrooms and three times as many concession stands than before renovation. Most visitors to Soldier Field are here for one of the many sporting events or concerts held at the 61,500-seat facility, but you’re welcome to visit at other times, too. The stadium is open year-round, so you can check out the colonnade, with its famous Doric columns, as well as the Doughboy statue and the “water wall” military tribute.
