The Chicago Children’s Museum is filled with plenty of opportunities for hands-on fun. There are areas and exhibits for preschoolers on up. The Dinosaur Exhibit recreates a dig site in the Sahara where Suchomimus, a fish-eating dinosaur now on display at the museum, was found. Play Maze, a tiny cityscape built for kids 5 and under, features role-playing activities that let kids do some grocery shopping or drive a bus. The Artabounds Gallery showcases artworks by kids from across the Chicago area and around the world, and your kids can channel their inner artists and create a piece of art to take home. The Chicago Children’s Museum is located at Navy Pier, which has enough attractions to keep you busy for days, but if you’re traveling with little ones, you want to make sure you spend at least a couple hours here.
