Just Okay

Reviewed by caparsons on October 23, 2007

caparsons' rating:

"Not terrible, but really not worth going out of your way for. They had a somewhat interesting Rock and Roll exhibit when I visited, and a nice Calder exhibit, but the rest seemed lackluster at best."

The anti-MOMA

ohsostrange's rating:

"Scarcely worth burning the calories required to walk through the place. Very small and unimpressive permanent collection. On the plus side, they do occasionally feature off-beat special exhibits."

Museum of Contemporary Art - Sitting on a front-row piece of property between the lake and the historic Water Tower, the gloomy, imposing building (designed by Berlin's Josef Paul Kleihues) looks like something out of Communist Russia, but the interior spaces are more vibrant, with a sun-drenched two-story central corridor, elliptical staircases, and three floors of exhibition space.
