Summary of Waxman Candles
Whether you enjoy the glow of candlelight or you just want your place to smell better, Waxman Candles has you covered. Waxman makes its own candles, and the scent can be a little overwhelming when you first walk in, but your sniffer should adjust pretty quickly. College kids are partial to earthier scents including nirvana and patchouli, but even ladies who lunch will be amenable to some of these aromas, especially lighter fragrances such as pear vanilla and champagne. You’ll also find pretty tapers in a variety of colors, along with what the store calls manipulations, which are tapers twisted into spirals and ribbons. And check out the decorative candles, unscented and too pretty to burn, that run the gamut from tiny Buddhas to skull and crossbones to holly leaves at Christmastime. This shop is the only outpost of the original Waxman Candles, located in Lawrence, Kan.
