When it's good, it's good

Applebee’s has a fun, vibrant atmosphere. The decor alone is interesting, as it focuses on locally applicable claims to fame (sport’s teams, universities, what the town is known for..). The menu has variety: several pages long with lots of “American” options and even a small Weight Watchers menu with applied food point values. There really is something for everyone. As far as the food quality and service..well, it’s hit or miss. We have self-banned ourselves from going here several times. Once what seems like a significant amount of time has elapsed that we don’t remember why we were avoiding it, we end up trying it again and being reminded why we vowed never to return. We’ve had waitstaff mysteriously disappear, received the wrong orders, had sub-par food, erc. Like I said, it is hit or miss. When the stars are aligned just right, we’ve had a great meal and experience.
