Who would have thought that there would be a desert in the state of Maine? Well, there is. I believe it was the result of soil erosion. Anyway, it really is a sight to behold. Several different tour options available and activities to keep the kids occupied (while we were there, kids were making their own sand art). Campgrounds and gift shop also here. Worth a stop on your Maine itinerary!
