Heart of the Adirondaks
Small town charm in the heart of the Adirondaks. Canoeing and swimming on Lake Harris. Visitor’s Interpretive Center offers lessons on nature through exhibits and scheduled lectures and group hikes. Trails here have superb hiking for beginners with tons of scenery and lake views. Scenic overlook just inside town gives beautiful view of high peaks (and helpfully identifies which peak is which). Limited lodging and places to eat. Long Lake is a close 20 or so minutes down the road.
