lacio mio cuore a milano
"i lived in milan for 6 months on exchange at Bocconi in the spring of 2006. as far as italy is concerned, it is the most forward-looking and modern city, and it is a completely unique italian city than the others. one goes to florence and rome and venice for art and culture, but milan's strong points are entertainment, shopping, fashion, and business - a more urban experience. experiencing milan along with another city makes for a complete picture of italian culture - and the people who live in it.while you're there you must: -visit the brera district and have a cocktail at night. -take pictures of the duomo -shop on via vittorio emanuele -have dinner in the navigli district -shop in an outdoor flea market -see the castello forzesca -spend an hour or two relaxing in parco sempione -have at least one dish of gelato per day

Don't go in July!
"I wasn’t in Milan for very long. It was so hot in the city, we had to get out and go to the coast. So don’t go in July!! I had heard that it’s not very nice, but I thought it was beautiful! The cathedral was great, and the town had a nice, historical feel. I was expecting everyone to be supermodels, since Milan is such a famous fashion city, but they looked normal to me! Haha! There were plenty of museums and things to do, and I was sad that I didn’t get a chance to do them all. & of course, like everywhere in Italy, I ate some great food!
