Jardin des Plantes (Le)
An easygoing escape from the bustle of city life
A well-kept garden that is tucked away among hedges and classic buildings that house fun diversions. The garden was a serene, quiet way to unwind and admire nature’s specialties. The zoo was a highlight of our trip; it’s small but impressive and admission is nominal. My mother, sister, and I rented a small apartment in the building just across the street (Rue Monge). It proved the perfect location with a lively fruit/vegetable market, highly rated restaurants, the metro, and great shopping within easy walking distance. Check out this area if you’re planning an extended stay in Paris.
