Coquina Baywalk

This is a fun place to visit. Going north from Long Boat Key, and crossing the bridge, the walk is on the right side of Gulf of Mexico Drive. Park and take your camera. It is like going back to Florida at a time when there were no condos or golf courses – just fishing shacks. This is a tidal area. The path weaves out through the mangroves and back many times. You can see little crabs scurrying about and also all manner of birds and flowers. It is a wonderful place to spend part of an afternoon.
