Bio

My headline
Work in travel, would like to have time to travel more
Me in a nutshell

I am an independent UK based travel consultant and travel writer. In my business, Europe a la Carte, I promote less well destinations in Europe. I believe that by venturing even slightly off the well worn tourist track you can see more of the real Europe and avoid the tourist traps. I never have enough time to do all the things I want to for my business; marketing, research, writing guides, database maintainence, keeping my blog up to date etc

Things I like

Learning Italian. Spending time with my family(although I don’t know if our teenage sons would agree with me) Walks in the countryside (I am very lucky to live in a beautiful area). Building up my travel business.

Revealing Tidbits

You're stuck in the middle seat on a plane between two celebrities. Who are they?
Probably rather be sitting between 2 interesting friendly people, not sure how many celebrities would fulfil either of these criteria.
Your cruise ship sank and you're stranded on a deserted island. What three things do you need?
My husband, my computer (with broadband connection) and a plane (it's always nice to have a change of scene, even from paradise)
Which National Lampoon's Vacation character are you most like? Clark, Ellen, Rusty, Audrey, Aunt Edna, Cousin Eddie, Hot Girl in Ferrari or The Guard at Wally World.
I'm British so I am not familiar with this.
Gusto is picking you up in a private jet. Where are you going?
On a trip all around Italy with at least 50 stopovers

Thanks I am glad that you enjoyed them.  i could never be bothered to carry around a camera and fiddle with all the knobs in the old days. Now with digital cameras it is easy to take great photos espciallly if you are in such lovely locations. I feel that photos really are worth a thousand words.  i could wax lyrical about a place but a photo avoids all the flowery prose.
