Splendido!!!

What a wonderful restaurant! We stopped in here after spending the day at Universal Studios. When we walked in, the beautiful decor took us by surprise. It was very upscale looking inside with white tablecloths and lovely wall murals. We definitely thought we were under-dressed. After taking a quick look around, we realized that everyone in there was dressed in their “theme park best”, and it wasn’t an issue. We had quite the treat as we were waiting to be seated. One of the waiters was serenading a birthday celebrant, in Italian, with his beautiful tenor voice. The entire restaurant broke into applause! It sure makes those other restaurants’ birthday songs pale in comparison! Our meal was equisite! We started with the shrimp and artichoke dip, which came with a generous portion of crisp bread for dipping. They have a unique way to serve wine. They put a giant bottle on the table, and you just pour what you like. At the end of the meal, they ask you how many glasses you’ve had, and that’s how you pay. It’s completely on the honour system. I had the lobster ravioli, which was just sinful! Others in our party had the more traditional pastas. Everything was incredible. The great thing about the restaurant was their relaxed, yet classy atmosphere. They state right on their menu that they want to portray an upscale restaurant feel, while not being stuffy about it. Hence, the paper on the tables. The wait staff was superb, and the food came out quickly. All in all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant after a busy day at WDW or Universal. Heck, I’d recommend it for anytime! Buon Appetito!!!
