Great for a getaway

Snow Mountain Ranch (AKA YMCA of the Rockies) consists of several large lodges which have many rooms of various sizes. I have stayed in several different rooms and they were all kept clean. The decor in the rooms was minimal and the rooms had no TV's, which is nice for some but torture for others. There are many activities such as volleyball, skating (you can "rent" skates free of charge), rock climbing wall, mini golf in the summer, and even a pool and sauna. All of these attractions are a fair distance from most of the lodges but really not that bad. Also on the property is a nice little gift shop and a building which holds a buffet-style restaurant. The food is better than one may expect, but still not fabulous. The prices are a bit steep, but it is all you can eat. Snow Mountain Ranch was a short drive from Sol Vista Ski Resort and Winter Park. Overall I recommend Snow Mountain Ranch for anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay to truly "get away."
