Hyde Park

Hyde Park

quote:

A sunny day in London is heaven on earth to some people, and spending that time strolling through the lovely Hyde Park is one of the best ways to enjoy it. The former hunting ground of King Henry VIII, Hyde Park is now known for the Serpentine, a lake used for boating and fishing; Rotten Row, the famous horse-riding track; and Speakers’ Corner, where British tradition says you can speak to the assembled crowd on absolutely any subject you wish (try it out – we dare you). Relax with a good book, sunbathe by the Serpentine, walk over to the Peter Pan statue or the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, or go for a jog celebrity style – no makeup, dark sunglasses and a baseball cap. Who knows – you may even catch a glimpse of Madonna or Gwyneth getting their daily dose of exercise.
