"My absolute favorite New Orleans restaurant. This tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant found on the far end of Royal St in the Quarter requires you to walk through the kitchen on the way to the bathroom but this only adds to it's charm. Relax in their window seat table while glorious dishes are placed on top of the orange and purple tie-dyed tablecloths. Their specialty is perfectly prepared ripe plantains served with a hot salsa that complements their sweet flavor. Other favorites include the black eyed pea fritters, peanut and chicken stew and their amazing spinach side dish. The service can be a little slow in this usually one waiter restaurant but the meal is one meant to be savored."
