Sedona
Relaxing Getaway
Sedona is just so close to Phoenix at 2.5 hours away. Any time of year is great. I love the hiking and walking the strip of shopping. The views everywhere you go are breath taking. We have stayed at nemourous places in and around Sedona, my favorite are the places in Oak Creek Canyon. They have a Jazz festival every year in the fall so if you plan on going make your reservations ahead of time, we had to drive up to Flagstaff one year as everything in and around Sedona was full.

OMG! My husband's aunt lives in Sadona and I have always wanted to go there! I know it's expensive to go shopping, golfing, and the restaraunts are expensive, but they have wonderful spas too. I have never flown on a plane and afraid of terrorist now, but I hated the drive we made through Arizona on vacations as a child, it seemed to take forever and it was sooo hot! I just think that would be the most wonderful place for peace and tranquility to go see. I saw something on the discovery channel not too long ago about spiritual healing near Mesa Verde or somewhere. Maybe one day I'll get to go. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I have never actually went shopping there. Nothing for me. The stores are super fun though. Lots of Indian and Artsy things, jewery and what not. It is all neat to look at for me anyways. Since you don't like to fly, pack up the car and drive. I know that drive so well I could do it in my sleep! I noticed we live in the same area (Arlington for me) Just leave at night, take someone with you and you will be there 18 hours later! Just in time to relax!
