A Malibu Must!

Great for the occasional star siting, Malibu Country Mart is a mixture of high end boutiques and restaurants. There are also “snack-shack” places you can grab some more affordable things like a juice and coffee place, burger/falafel stand, and Mexican take-out place. The retail clothes stores are very expensive but you’ll definitely find unique stylish clothes and pretty girly things. In the center of the Country Mart is a children’s playground where you’‘ll see alot of hip young parents and/or nanny’s with kids hanging out. Over the past few years, I’ve seen some stars passing through this area….Pierce Brosnan, Gary Sinise, Demi Moore, Kim Basinger. Even if you don’t see a celebrity, the people watching is still fun (everyone looks like they are a director, writer, or significant other of a director or writer)...so grab a nonfat ice mocha, a chopped Cobb salad, and chill for awhile. I think my favorite store (tucked in the corner by Nobu) is Indiana Jones. It’s a women’s clothes store but they have weird nick-nacks and a fun selection of shoes. Sometimes you can find a bargain here when they have a sale.
