A Vancouver Must-Do!!!

So many visitors take the ferry to Victoria or walk Robson Street, but they are missing one of Vancouver finest and funnest experiences. Granville Island is one of my favorite city spots. It’s a great day trip where you can grab a fantastic lunch in the Granville Island market, sit outside and people watch, then stroll around and look at the great artist studios (glass blower studios, craft stores, ceramics etc.) My favorite things to eat in the Market are: bowl of soup from the Stock Market, pizza bagel from one of the bakeries, fresh fruit from one of the produce sellers, fresh baguette with cheese and meat, and of course a fruit custard tart from the gourmet bakery. You’ll find lots of great gifts to bring back to your friends. Things like organic fruit spreads from the Okanagan or local wines. The craft studios are also great for getting unique souvenirs. Don’t drive to the Market. A fun way to get there is to taxi or park near the Vancouver Aquatic Center. There’s a little dock located near the Aquatic Center where you can catch an Aquabus which will take you across the water (small fee).
