Fløibanen, the funicular
Great!
The funicular takes you up the hill, where there are amazing views of Bergen. It’s no roller coaster or anything, but it’s still fun to ride in the train! It’s really nice and new. Once you’re at the top, you can admire the scenery- you can see all of Bergen, the water, and the surrounding mountains. It’s nice even when it’s rainy, luckily, although of course it’s best on a sunny day. There is also a small gift shop with postcards and the ubiquitous moose that are all over Norway! There’s also a small café, and easy walking trails so you can look at the nature and find more spectacular views. The website says it’s the most visit tourist attraction in Bergen, and I can definitely see why!
