Elephants were my favorite animal when I was like 11, until I got interested in camels. So I was a bit excited to go elephant trekking in Thailand. I thought it was weird that a half day trip included SIX different activities, but thought we'd have time for plenty of elephant riding, since that was the main focus of the whole trip. One of my friends recommended taking a Thai cooking class in Thailand, and she was right! It was really fun! The course lasted half a day, from about 10am-2pm, I think. You could also choose to do it in the evening. We signed up at one of the tour places in Phuket. I can't remember the name of the cooking school, but I believe the brochure was pink!

Sea Canoeing was one of the best things we did in Thailand. It was great getting out onto the water, getting to exercise a bit (necessary after all the great Thai food!), and experiencing some beautiful scenery. Our guide took six of us on the trip. We canoed in and out of caves in an island. You would paddle through the cave, using a flashlight to see, and come out in a peaceful, quiet lagoon in the middle of the island. It was really nice.
