Changdeokgung Palace

I went to this palace one afternoon in the fall. It was beautiful seeing all the red and gold foliage, but I can imagine it's beautiful in the winter with snow, and in the summer when everything's green, too! It's a huge place, and you have to take a guided tour. No walking around on your own! There's a tour in English once or twice a day. Changdeokgung was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. It was built in the early 1400s, and it's really well-preserved. The colorful painting is beautiful, and all the trees and ponds are nice, too. The tour took about an hour, and I got to see about half of the buildlings. It was fascinating learning about Korean history, too! I definitely recommend Changdeokgung Palace!
