La Brea Tar Pits
Smelly!
It’s not enough to just visit the tar pits- you get so much more out of it if you visit the museum next to the pits. Otherwise, you’re just looking at a black, smelly, yucky pond. It’s interesting to learn about the history and the prehistoric animals that used to live in LA. It definitely is more exciting for little kids, but still interesting for adults!
