Koreatown
Eh.
I took a wrong turn in LA and ended up in Koreatown. I have to say, I wasn’t very impressed with it. I went there before I went to actual Korea, but thinking back, they’re rather similar! There are tons of little stores and restaurants here- just like Korea! & all the signs are in Korean, of course- just like Korea! There are lots of people, some good malls, and great galbi the all-you-can-eat BBQ that you grill at your table (my favorite Korean food)- just like Korea! So if you can’t get to Korea, Korea-town is the next best thing. But it’s a distant second- I didn’t find much to do besides shopping and eating! I’m sure there are big celebrations on Korean holidays that would be fun, though, such as on Lunar New Year.
