Tropical Fruit Farm

Fruity goodness

This was a pretty cool place. You get a tour of the tropical fruit garden, where they have a lot of different fruit trees, growing tons of unusual fruits. Some of them aren’t grown commercially anywhere, so it’s a rare chance. The guide was really informative, full of information about all the trees, the insects and birds, and the fruits. At the end, there is a buffet where you can taste some of the fruits, which is the best part! We got to try yellow watermelon, pomelo, two different types of bananas, mango, pineapple, star apple, and some more. We also got to have juice made fresh. I tried pineapple honeydew (which was really good!), and pineapple watermelon (which was a pretty color, but tasted only like pineapple). There were nice views to the ocean, since the farm is on a hill. It was a nice walk, but quite hot, and be sure to borrow a hat if you sunburn easily!
