Islamic Museum

This museum is in a nice building that has been restored. It’s a bit hard to find if you aren’t familiar with the area, so read the map carefully, or ask somebody! There were two floors of exhibits about Islamic beliefs and culture, famous Muslims, Islam in Penang and Malaysia, and more. It was interesting seeing the artifacts and reading about some famous Islamic people. Since so much of Malaysia is Islamic, I thought this was a good introduction to the religion for people who don’t know very much. I did find it a bit boring, however! They could have done a lot more to make the exhibits more interesting. But on the whole, I’m glad I went.
