Spanish Synagogue (Spanelska Synagoga)
Beautiful!
This was the most beautiful of the synagogues in the Jewish quarter, in my opinion! I loved walking through it and admiring the incredible paint job. It is very intricately decorated, with small, repeating designs everywhere. It looks very Middle Eastern and almost Islamic, rather than Spanish. The outside is quite pretty and different, too. I ended up buying so many postcards of this synagogue, since you aren’t allowed to take pictures. Really beautiful!
