South Lake Tahoe
Beautiful!
Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful. The lake has really clear blue water (although I read a newspaper article while I was there talking about how less clear it is these days because of too much boat traffic and pollution. It’s still nice, though!), there are great green (in the summer, white in the winter) mountains all around. If not for all the tacky casinos and wedding chapels, this would be natural paradise! But since I’ve only been to the city of Lake Tahoe 4 times- 3 weddings, and 1 time with my grandma who wanted to gamble), I guess Lake Tahoe need casinos and wedding chapels to survive. There are also some great ski resorts outside of the city. But if you’re there in the summer, the lake is the big attraction!
