Over a century old, this is Bostons oldest continually operating theater. Located across from Boston Common, the stage has, in decades past, hosted legendary performers, including Ethel Merman and the Ziegfield Follies. More recent productions include Sound of Music, Footloose, a revival of the Noel Coward play Waiting in the Wings, starring Lauren Bacall, and The Diary of Anne Frank. Productions occasionally come here for a fine-tuning run before heading on to Broadway. Other popular family fare include Disneys The Lion King.

Great Theater

Reviewed by melliempa on December 08, 2006

melliempa's rating:

"This is a beautiful theater located in central Boston. Not a bad seat in the house. There is a 1/2 price ticket booth located in Faneuil Hall that sells tickets for that day’s performance."
