Originally built as a church by Puritans in 1729, this building went on to play an important role in the American Revolution as a gathering point for those seeking American independence from Britain. On December 16, 1773, over 5,000 colonists met here to protest a tea tax. From the meeting, these protesters went to the waterfront, tossed crates of tea into the harbor, and had what came to be known as the Boston Tea Party. The building is now a museum on the Freedom Trail. Admission: $3 for Adults, $2.50 for seniors; $1 for children between 6-18 years.

"This is where the meeting of angry protestors took place before the Boston Tea Party. Today it’s a museum and part of the Freedom Trail. Interactive exhibits make this an interesting stop."
